Police Officer
Salary: $43,617.60 - $72,172.96 annually
Description: Performs general police work in the protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and ordinances. Examples of work include: patrolling designated areas of the City; answering calls and complaints involving fires, automobile accidents, disturbances, domestic disputes, and various other misdemeanors and felonies; securing and processing crime scenes, conducting preliminary investigations, gathering evidence, obtaining witness statements, and making arrests; maintaining evidence and other property; preparing reports and maintaining records; and performing related work as required.
Minimum & Additional Requirements:
One year experience involving public contact under varying circumstances and possession of a high school diploma or GED.
Employees must possess a valid driver=s license issued by the state of their residence. Candidates for this class are required to meet minimum age and medical standards.
Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual (English / Spanish) skills.
